About this item

Our Wood-Pressed Groundnut (Mungfali) Oil is extracted using the traditional cold-press (kacchi ghani) method, where wooden presses gently crush groundnuts at low temperatures. This ensures that the oil retains its natural nutrients, antioxidants, and rich earthy flavor. Unlike refined oils that undergo chemical bleaching and heating, our oil is free from additives and trans fats, making it healthier for everyday cooking. It enhances the taste of curries, stir-fries, and snacks while being a source of good fats for heart health. Naturally aromatic and unrefined, this oil carries the authenticity of indigenous practices straight to your kitchen.

Every drop of this oil is crafted through patience and tradition, not machines. Sourced from indigenous groundnuts and pressed in wooden ghani, it reflects purity in its truest form. It’s not just oil, it’s nourishment carried through generations. Cooking with this is cooking with heritage.

You switched to cold pressed for your family. Then you started wondering whether what arrived was actually cold pressed.
Fair question. Most oil sold as “cold pressed” in India has been through a solvent, a bleach filter, or a 200°C steam bath. You cannot tell from the label. You can tell from the bottle.
Test ours the day it arrives
Pour a little into a glass and leave it in the fridge for two hours. Pure groundnut oil thickens slightly and stays uniform. Blended oil separates into layers. Ours won’t.
How it is actually made Crushed in a wooden gaana that turns slowly — slowly on purpose, because speed makes friction and friction makes heat. The oil never goes above 50°C.
No hexane. No solvent ever touches the seed. No bleaching. That is why it is amber, not pale. No deodorising. That is why it smells like something. Small batches. Pressed to order, not warehoused. Seed direct from all rural India agriculture community farmers. Maharashtra,Karnataka,Tamil Nadu, kerla, Haryana, etc.
Then open the cap and smell it. If oil smells of nothing, it was deodorised at high heat. Ours smells like groundnut, because that is all it is.
